In the summer of 2004 I spent about a month and a half traveling. Starting out taking a 30-hour Greyhound trip from South Dakota, to New York City. From there I flew standby to Amsterdam. I spend a couple days in the Netherlands, and took a train to Germany.

I spent about a month in Germany visiting a friend, who was living there, and an ex-student who was a native. The majority of the time I spent and touring around solo visiting art galleries, museums, and dens of iniquity, while staying in the cheapest hostels I could find.

After Germany I spent a few days in Prague, and flew back to New York City because of the good fortunes of a coin flip, against a fellow standby passenger. After a week in New York visiting friends it was time to return to the Midwest in another greyhound, wiser in the ways of the old world and German expressionism.
